Role of microRNA in self-renew and differentiation of embryonic stem cells

2009
Embryonic stem(ES) cells hold significant potential for clinical therapies because of their distinctive capacity to both self-renew and differentiate into a wide range of specialized cell types.MicroRNAs are ~22 nt long small RNAs that silence post-transcription gene expression. Here, we will review the recent progress in the role of microRNA in self-renew and differentiation of embryonic stem cells.
