Development of the Fault Diagnosis Expert System for Seawater Reverse Osmosis

This paper introduced the processes of reverse osmosis seawater desalination,analyzed the main faults of reverse osmosis membrane components,established the associated fault tree model in the fault tree analysis method.Based on this,the knowledge base of the expert system was established by adopting semantic net representation method and production rule representation method,then stated the idea in designing the inference engine on two sides of reasoning strategy and research strategy.At last,in Visual Studio 2005 workbench developed the corresponding fault diagnosis expert system software,then analyzed diagnosis processes in the software,given some hypothetical fault symptoms,do simulation diagnostic test in the expert system,the diagnostic is matched with the actual fault reason.
