Electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectra of Mn++ at normal and defect sites of a crystalline ZnS lattice

1973
Three EPR spectra (one cubic and two axial) of Mn++ in ZnS crystals grown from a melt are detected and investigated. On the basis of an analysis of these spectra, the deduction is made that wurtzite inclusions are monotetrahedral layers on the twinning boundary, where the twinning boundary occurs in every 20–25 layers of the sphalerite stacking.
