Atdişi Mısırda (Zea mays indentata Sturt.) Uyum Yeteneği Etkileri ve Heterosisin Belirlenmesi

2004
This research was carried out to investigation the genetic structure of the 21 F1 hybrid maize population established from seven female lines and three male testers, to determine parents showing superior general ability (g.c.a.) and crosses having superior specific combining ability (s.c.a.), and to evaluate the F1 hybrid vigor. According to the results, differences among the genotypes (except the number of grain to ear) were significant for all the traits studied. Specific combining ability (s.c.a.) effects were significant for ear height, 1000 seeds weight, days to tasseling and grain yield. The lines numbered as 1 (B-75) and 3 (BRS-16) in grain yield showed the highest and positive general combining abilities. 3 x 10, 1 x 9, 1 x 10 and 3 x 8 hybrid combinations had the highest mean values in terms of grain yield. 3 x 10, 6 x 9, 1 x 9 and 4 x 9 combinations showed the highest s.c.a. Heterosis values varied between 19.5 % and 125.4 % in grain yield.
