Echocardiographic Diagnosis of Atrioventricular Septal Perforation Caused by an Aortic Valve Vegetation

Abstract A case of aortic valve endocarditis is presented in which a vegetation eroded through the atrioventricular septum and extended into the right atrium. This was diagnosed by echocardiography and confirmed at surgery.
