Chalcopyrite thin film solar cell with CdS / (Zn (S, O) buffer layer, and associated fabrication method

The invention is based on a chalcopyrite thin film solar cell with a CIS absorber layer, directly applied to the CIS absorber layer and a buffer layer deposited directly on the buffer layer ZnO-containing window layer. The solar cell is characterized in that the buffer layer made of CdS and Zn (S, O), wherein a concentration of CdS, starting from the CIS absorber layer toward the ZnO-containing window layer decreases.
