The invention provides a switched reluctance motor with a nanocrystalline alloy iron core and a preparation method thereof. The switched reluctance motor comprises a stator iron core which is provided with stator salient poles, a rotor iron core which is adaptive to the stator iron core and provided with rotor salient poles, a motor rotating shaft, coil windings and a motor shell. The rotor iron core is connected with the motor rotating shaft so as to rotate around the axis of the motor rotating shaft under driving of the motor rotating shaft. The coil windings wind on the stator salient poles of the stator iron core. The stator iron core and the rotor iron core are arranged in the motor shell. The stator iron core and the rotor iron core are made of nanocrystalline alloy. Compared with amorphous alloy and silicon steel, the nanocrystalline alloy material has lower thickness, lower magnetic hysteresis loss and eddy current loss and higher initial magnetic conductivity and magnetic conductivity so as to be more suitable for the high-frequency, high-speed, high-efficiency and wider range of speed regulation development direction of the switched reluctance motor.
