Analysis of various designs of a 60 kW electric motor for the electric power plant of a light aircraft

The article presents the results of calculations of electric engines of the main electric power plant of a light aircraft with a power of 60 kW and a rotation speed of 1900-2300 rpm. Designs of electric machines of radial and axial types are considered. The influence of the stator magnetic core material type on the weight characteristics of machines is studied. Calculations are performed for two voltage classes -165 V and 270 V.
