Robot behaviour control using AI techniques

1995
Describes a framework for the animation of a group of simulated robots (humanoids) in a changing environment. The human animator gives overall directions for the required actions of the robots by issuing high-level commands. The robots, in carrying out these commands, generate a plan and execute this autonomously. They adapt the plan according to the changes in the environment and are capable of responding to the motions and behaviour of other robots. The system exploits AI techniques including frames, blackboards, planning and rules.
