CT diagnosis of superior sagittal sinus laceration (analysis of 9 cases)
2003
Objective:To analyze the CT features of superior sagittal sinus laceration (SSSL) and discuss the its CT diagnosis and value. Methods:CT findings of 9 cases surgically proved SSSL were retrospectively analyzed. The distinct CT features of SSSL and its clinic value were evaluated.Results:9 cases lacerated the superior sagittal sinus,of 5 cases located in anterior part of superior sagittal sinus, of 4 cases located in the midst of superior sagittal sinus;7 cases were diagnosed rightly by CT. On CT, malformations and enlargements of superior sagittal sinus were seen in 9 cases, showed "cord sign"(4 cases) and "delta sign"(3 cases) or mimicking enhancement,of 7 cases were seen cranial bone fracture through median dural sinus and epidural subdural mixed hematoma simultaneously, demonstrated"superimposed"appearance; of 7 cases were deformed and pressed lateral ventricle by hematoma;of 5 cases traumatic intracranial hematoma without cerebral falx migration were seen,of 4 cases slight migration. Conclusion:CT scanning can accurately display features of SSSL, which contributes to diagnose the lesion and provides evidence for surgical planning.
