Geodesy: The Concepts

1983
Geodesy has changed dramatically during the last few decades; totally new technologies have both rejuvenated and beautified its face. This fast development is well documented by the recent fashion of prominent geodesists, textbook writing. Most of them are concerned with a subset of geodesy rather than geodesy at large. Geodesy: The Concepts is one of the few exemptions in this respect. It is intended as a textbook for both technological and undergraduate and graduate courses at the university level, a goal usually difficult to achieve in less than 700 pages without making significant sacrifices. This is why the authors have confined themselves to the presentation of the concepts only.
