Method for preparation of reference map in geomagnetism matching guidance and its validity evaluation

According to the demand of geomagnetic reference maps for geomagnetism matching guidance,some total geomagnetic intensity measurements on several discrete spots in a chosen area are processed with 12 interpolate algorithms provided by Surfer 8.0,and the required reference maps are generated.A validity evaluation criterion of geomagnetic reference map grid data used for geomagnetism matching guidance is introduced and the detail description is presented.According to the criterion,the reference maps generated with the 12 interpolate algorithms are evaluated.Results show that in the chosen area,the performance of the data generated by Kriging method and the radial basis function method are better.Both methods can generate accurate grid data.
