On the prediction of spin characteristics and flight test results of KTX-1 aircraft

During the development of military trainer aircraft, standardization of spin entry and recovery method is very important and stable spin mode is required both erect and inverted spin. This paper concerns about some preparations for spin flight test including wind tunnel test and prediction of spin behavior by spin mode analysis, remotely controlled model test, prediction of recovery characteristics, emergency spin recovery system, flow visualization results on the wing surface and flight test results. Also some spin flight test results are compared with the predictions. And all the works for the improvement spin characteristics are included.
