Experimental study on the absorption of phosphine wastegas by sodium hypochlorite

2011
Sodium hypochlorite as oxidant was used for adsorbing phosphine, which was emited from sodium hypophosphite industry. The effects of the available chlorine density and pH were mainly studied via experiments. The results can be concluded that when the speed of carrier gas flow is 20mL.min-1, the temperature for reaction is about 20°C with pH at 9, and the density of sodium hypochlorite solution is 0.75%, 7% as the first-level, the second-level absorption solution, respectively, the effect of absorption is good and the yield of sodium hypophosphite is high.
