Occurrence of Components of the Kallikrein-Kinin System in Human Genital Tract Secretions and their Possible Function in Stimulation of Sperm Motility and Migration

1976
As an autonomic cell, the spermatozoon is able to self regulate its metabolism. It is therefore an attractive object to study pharmacological actions. The visual sign of an alive sperm cell is its motility. Recent investigations have shown a possible involvement of the kailikrein-kinin system in the regulation of sperm motility and migration (Schill et al., 1974; Leidl et al., 1975; Wallner et al., 1975).
