The switching excitation surge current eliminator for the transformer comprises a voltage measurement module, a controller and a power supply module, wherein the voltage measurement module is respectively connected with a system side voltage transformer and a load side voltage transformer; the voltage measurement module is also connected with the controller; the controller is connected with the power supply module; the voltage measurement module is used for measuring busbar voltage of a system side and a load side of a power grid, and comprises a voltage transformer, a voltage formation and operation amplifier loop and a sampling hold and AD converter; the voltage transformer is connected with the voltage formation and operation amplifier loop; and the voltage formation and operation amplifier loop is connected with the sampling hold and AD converter. According to the switching excitation surge current eliminator for the transformer disclosed by the invention, switching excitation surge current of the transformer can be completely removed; the transformer is switched without a transient process; and no harm is generated to a power grid system and the environment.
