Study on novel structure of Pr complex, C 14 H19 PrN 2O14

A novel Pr complex C 14 H11 PrN 2O10 ●4(H 2O) has been synthesized from a hydrothermal reactio n and the crystal structure has been determined by means of single-cr ystal X-ray diffraction. Monoclinic, P2(1). a=14.07 8(3) A, b = 11.250(2) A, c =12.957(3) A, α= 90 ° , β=102.00(3) ° , γ=90 ° . V=2007.3(7) A 3 . Z=4. R1 =0.0371, wR 2 =0.0897, T=293(2) K. The Pr atom is nine-coordinated by two N atoms from two 2,6-pyridine dicarboxylic acid mol eculars and seven O atoms. The molecular structure stabilized by the O-H…O hyd rogen-bonding interactions.
