Magmatic Intrusions Influence on Oil and Gas Generation of Barents Sea Mezozoic Rocks

1995
Geochemical investigations show that igneous formations and attendant fluids presence have essential influence on organic matter (OM) maturity, collectors forming, on migration process development and oil and gas of source rocks. This influence depends from basin conditions. The role of igneous factor has much significance in Barents Sea where intrusive rocks are known in wide stratigrafical range. Their influence on Mesozoic sediments and hydrocarbon (HC) potential is most profound.
