Effective increase of wear resistance of components of friction couples as a result of the application of carbon diamond-like coatings

Patinor Coating Ltd. Company has carried out detailed tests of the wear resistance, strength, hardness, erosion and corrosion resistance and also determined the friction coefficient of carbon diamond-like coatings (DLC). The results show that the application of the DLC as protective coatings may greatly extend the service life of various components of machines and tools and reduce the expenditure on their fabrication and service.
