Pavement Area Segmentation Technology in the Automatic Navigation of UGV

In the Automatic Navigation of UGV,Pavement area is extracted in order to detect the obstacles.For this problem,this paper puts forward a kind of threshold segmentation method which combining with the morphology processing.First of all,the image threshold segmentation is used.Due to the interference of background,the road section can not be split out.The morphology processing is carried on and the method of fitting line will be useful extracted part.The method is used in the day time,and the image of road surface and scenery is more obvious.It can achieve good effect.Matlab simulation experimental results show that the proposed method has stronger robustness and real time,and can obtain the good segmentation effect.
