Three new entangled Zn(II)/Cd(II)-MOFs based on a triangular tri(4- imidazolylphenyl)amine and different carboxylic acid : Crystal structures, and luminescent properties
2020
Abstract Three new entangled metal-organic frameworks, namely [Cd(TIPA)(HCOO)2]·4H2O (1), [Cd2Cl2(TIPA)2(NDC)2]·4H2O (2) and [Zn2(TIPA)(HCOO) (NDC)1.5]·DMF·CH3OH·2H2O (3) (TIPA = tri(4-imidazolylphenyl)amine, H2NDC = naphthalene-2,6- dicarboxylic acid, DMF = N,N’-dimethylformamide), have been obtained under solvothermal conditions. 1 shows a 2-D → 3-D parallel/parallel inclined polycatenated framework. 2 represents a 3-D polythreaded supramolecular architecture consisting of (3,4,6)-connected 2-D sheets with a (4·52)2(42·510·6·72)(54·6·8)2 topology. 3 has a (3,6)-connected 3-D 2-fold interpenetrating network with a Schlafli symbol of (42·6)(44·610·8). The luminescent properties of the complexes 1, 2 and 3 in the solid state have also been investigated at room temperature and 77 K respectively.
