Intercultural Lacunae in Hungarian-Vietnamese Communication

2018
You are holding in your hand the new, amended edition of Lenart Istvan’s doctoral dissertation “Intercultural lacunae in Hungarian-Vietnamese communication – with emphasis on entrepreneurial interactions”. In this booklet, we analyze intercultural encounters between Vietnamese and Hungarian individuals with a special emphasis on the business sector. The main targets we set forth with this work include: analyzing Hungarian-Vietnamese communication in general and in the field of business; Introducing Lacuna Theory to Hungarian and other researchers in English-speaking countries; and Raising the effectiveness of intercultural communication in the Hungarian-Vietnamese relation. Through this analysis, we aim at introducing the Russian School of Psycholinguistics and its methods not only to linguists, researchers, and other professionals, but to all interested individuals with varying backgrounds. And most of all, to those who intend to do business successfully with Vietnamese or Hungarians. Best of luck! Istvan Lenart, Associate Professor, SECHENOV University, Moscow
