Measurement of Parameters of Objects in Non-standard Guiding Systems and in Free Space

2019
Methods for monitoring the parameters of devices, electronic components and materials in non-standard waveguide systems and in free space are discussed. An original LR-method for eliminating the effect of transitions with segments of non-standard electrically long lines is proposed, based on an iterative procedure for processing the scattering parameters of their end-to-end $L$ -connection and $R$ -connection in the mode with a reflective load. A method for determining the phase velocity and attenuation coefficient of electromagnetic waves in strip lines and a U-shaped waveguide is considered. The results of a comparative analysis of methods for monitoring objects in stripline transmission lines are presented. The constructions of technical means for controlling the parameters of high-power microwave resistors and transistors are discussed.
