The current status of the 3He neutron spin filter (NSF) project at the ILL

Abstract The current capabilities for carrying out research using polarised 3 He gas at the ILL are summarised. The gas production facility is briefly reviewed, as are the instrument implementations that are either in use or under development. A route map of recent scientific study that has been carried at the ILL is given along with an overview of the design of a new filling station that is currently under construction.
