Features of Lasiococca comberi var.pseudoverticillaita Communityin Limestone Areas in Changjiang, Hainan Island

2005
The phytocoenological characters of the Lasiococca comberi var.pseudoverticillata community in limestone areas in Changjiang county of Hainan Island were studied. Some relative analysis and discussion were also made. The results showed that 164 species in 129 genera and 64 families of vascular plants were found in 18 plots of 1 800 m~2, and most plants belonged to tropical genera (94.87% of the total). The physiognomy of the community was evergreen all the year round, and the life form in the community was dominated by phanerophytes, and the leaf form being dominated by plants with simple leaf and mesophylls for most trees(70\^73%).It is not easy to distinguish the vertical structure clearly. The analysis on age_structure of dominant populations showed that the populations of the community belong to increasing populations. The A_level frequency is 71\^95 by Raunkiaer's frequency law, and 79 species were found one time among the 18 plots. The studying on the relationship between the Lasiococca comberi var.pseudoverticillata community and others showed that it had a smaller effect for the limestone substrate than climate as for the areal types of genra. And the vegetation is in succession from tropical evergreen monsoon forest to tropical rain forest. Because of the excess disturbing by the local minority, the vegetation should be protected, and natural restoration is a good way for it.
