Yield of fragments from photodissociation of242Pu

The authors determine for the first time, the post-neutron yields of fragments from the photodissociation of Pu-242 by bremstrahlung from electrons with energies of 18.1 + or -0.2 MeV and 20.7 + or -0.3 MeV as well as the parameters of the mass distribution tribution of the fragments. The target consisted of 3 + or -0.3 mg of plutonium dioxide enriched up to 94.7% Pu-242. They deposited a thin layer of plutonium on an aluminum substrate 70..mu..m thick with a diameter of 55 mm. The relative yields on the SDS-6500 computer were calculated using the RICH 1 program.
