Clinical Pharmacology of Fosinopril

1991
Fosinopril is a novel phosphorus-containing angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor which is distinguished from the majority of established ACE inhibitors by its beneficial effect on cardiac and renal haemodynamics in patients with essential hypertension and by a combination of pharmacokinetic properties — long plasma elimination half-life, dual mode of renal and hepatobiliary excretion, and lack of accumulation in the elderly and those with renal impairment.
