Advances on Application of Superparamagnetic Nanoparticle in Biochemical Separation and Analysis

Superparamagnetic nanoparticles have been applied increasingly in biochemical analysis due to their super-paramagnetism,good monodispersity,strong magnetic saturation intensity and fast separation speed. They can be used not only as an ideal immune affinity carrier in magnetic separation,but also as a perfect magnetic signal and a signal amplification system in magnetic sensors. The up-dated applications of superparamagnetic nanoparticles in the fields of separation and purification,biosensor,immunodetection,molecular biology and microbiological assay were introduced in this review. The potential of the superparamagnetic nanoparticles in biochemical separation and analysis was also discussed.
