Cloning of Lyso-phosphatidic Acid Acyltransferase Gene in Coconut and Genetic Transformation in Brassica napus by Agrobacterium-mediated Method

2010
Laural acid is an important medium-chain fatty acid in cleaning supplies and pharmaceutical products.Coconut has abundant Lyso-phosphatidic acid acyltransferase(LPAAT) genes with expression of laural acid.New rape germplasm resources with Lyso-phosphatidic acid acyltransferase genes will have the good application value. The paper reports that Lyso-phosphatidic acid acyltransferase gene is cloned from coconut endosperm, the plant expression vector by 35S drive is built successfully, and 6 rape plants with Lyso-phosphatidic acid acyltransferase gene are selected from 20 genetic transformation rape plants by agrobacterium-mediated method.
