Antiviral Properties of Corynebacterium parvum

In in vivo and in vitro experiments, we observed that the peritoneal exudates from mice treated with Corynebacterium parvum contain a factor which inhibits vesicular stomatitis virus and encephalomyocarditis virus. This inhibitor does not seem to possess the usual biological properties attributed to interferon.
