Spectrum Reallocation Algorithm Based on the Mobile Model for Cognitive Radio Networks

Cognitive radio (CR) is regarded as an effective solution for future mobile radio communication networks. However, spectrum allocation as a vital issue has not been fully discussed in mobile cognitive radio networks (CRNs). In this paper, an improved Manhattan-like structure mobility model is proposed for CRNs. Based on this mobile model, we present a novel spectrum reallocation algorithm which fully considers the mobility feature of the secondary users (SUs). Simulation results validate the good system communication overhead performance for the new spectrum reallocation algorithm in part.
