An ontology-based knowledge representation and implement method for crop cultivation standard
2013
Abstract This paper introduces a representation method which combines domain ontology and task ontology based on crop cultivation standards (CCS). It uses combined ontology to represent CCS through analysis of “Good Agricultural Practices” and theory of agricultural ontology. Domain ontology contains static information during growing, such as soil, seed and agricultural machines. Task ontology builds on the point of plant process: soil selection, seed selection, fertilization and irrigation. The process is divided into prenatal, birth and post-natal stages. Finally, we take pepper as an example to show the application of CCS ontology. Results show that the method implements knowledge management effectively and provides convenience for agricultural information services.
