The Sync-Up Process to Assist Multiple Stakeholder Communication of Requirement Analysis in Embedded Medical Software Development

The development of embedded medical software development involves multiple stakeholders, such as software developers, firmware, and hardware engineers. Such diverse members require effective communication to deliver the embedded project in time. In order to assist multiple stakeholder communication, the Sync-Up process has been developed. The process was reviewed by leading experts in the embedded safety-critical domain, and suggestions and recommendations were addressed to evolve the process. The validation of the Sync-Up process was conducted through case studies that were conducted in an embedded company and academic setting. In this paper, the result of the case studies and the future plan to evaluate the implementation part of the process will be presented.
