Novel magnetic shielding inducting type superconducting fault current limiter

2015
The invention discloses a novel magnetic shielding inducting type superconducting fault current limiter. The novel magnetic shielding inducting type superconducting fault current limiter comprises a three-leg iron core with an air clearance, a current limiting copper ring and a freezing box; a superconducting ring and a superconducting winding are concentrically positioned in the freezing box. According to the current limiter, the primary copper winding of the original magnetic shielding inducting type superconducting fault current limiter is replaced by the superconducting winding, and therefore, the original secondary edge winding is free of electricity energy loss and voltage loss when in normal work; in addition, the copper ring for controlling fault current and the air clearance formed in the three-leg iron core are additionally arranged, the copper ring is able to limit the fault current, and the air clearance is able to effectively avoid limit sudden drop of limiting impedance in case of large current; when short circuit fault occurs in a power grid, the current limiter is able to limit the peak value of fault current as well as the steady value of the fault current, and the current limiting effect is obvious.
