This work describes advances in critical lidar technologies and techniques developed as part of the NASA Active Sensing of CO 2 Emissions over Nights, Days, and Seasons CarbonHawk Experiment Simulator system for measuring atmospheric column carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) mixing ratios. This work provides an overview of these technologies and results from recent test flights during the NASA Atmospheric Carbon and Transport – America (ACT-America) Earth Venture Suborbital summer 2016 flight campaign.
