HST Observations of Black Hole X-Ray Transients

Hubble Space Telescope Observations of Black Hole X-Ray Transients are discussed in the context of the disk instability outburst model. We focus on the multiwavelength campaign following GRO J1655-40 through the summer 1996 outburst.
