Monitoring Magnetospheric Contributions using Ground-Based and Satellite Magnetic Data
2003
Good models of the time-space structure of magnetic field contributions from large-scale magnetospheric current systems, like the ring-current, are necessary to obtain improved models of the core and crustal fields. In addition, the estimation of external and induced contributions enables the derivation of transfer functions from which the electrical conductivity of the mantle can be obtained.
