The invention discloses an internal and external winding redundancy joint brake, which belongs to the technical field of the electromagnetic mechanism and aims to solve the problems of malfunction and brake delay of the traditional brake used for a space manipulator. The internal and external winding redundancy joint brake comprises a brake iron core, a brake armature, a friction disk, an internal winding, an external winding and a plurality of pressure springs, wherein the brake iron core, the brake armature and the friction disk are successively arranged along the axial direction; the brake armature and the friction disk form a friction pair structure; the circular-ring end surface of the brake iron core, which faces to the brake armature, is provided with an annular groove; the internal winding and the external winding are arranged in the annular groove; the internal winding is arranged on the inner circle side of the external winding; the outer circle side wall of the brake iron core is evenly provided with the pressure springs along the circumference direction; the pressure springs are stretched along the axial direction; the outer circle side wall of the brake iron core are provided with two edges; one end of each pressure spring is fixedly arranged on one edge of the brake iron core; and the other end of the pressure spring extends out from the other edge to be fixedly arranged on the brake armature.
