High resolution VUV laser measurements of the CO A 1Π–X 1Σ+ (v’,0) absorption cross sections

Using the resonant difference frequency mixing technique in Krypton, VUV radiation continuously covering the range 117 to 143 nm is generated. It is used to measure the rotationally resolved absorption cross‐section of the A 1Π–X 1Σ+ (v’,0) transition of CO (0laser linewidth.
