A rare case of SVC syndrome: Accurate diagnosis by multi-modality imaging

2014
Abstract This rare case depicts a mediastinal lymphoma extending into the right atrium and presenting as superior vena cava syndrome in a relatively asymptomatic young female. In addition to making an accurate diagnosis, it was important to define the extent of the tumor and its association to surrounding structures as well as differentiate it from an intra-cardiac thrombus. Multi-modality imaging was critical in this patient's successful management.
