Visual Measurements of the Multiple Star STT 269 AB-C and ARN 8 AB-D

2011
This astrometry project was performed by a member of the faculty and students from The Evergreen State College at the 2010 Pine Mountain Observatory Summer Science Research Workshop. This study involved measuring and analyzing the separation and posi- tion angles of the multiple star system STT 269 AB-C and ARN 8 AB-D. The astrometric binary AB was treated as a single star. Separation and position angles of the C and D com- ponents relative to AB were made. Percent differences between observed and literature val- ues were all less than 1 percent.
