Method for manufacturing multi-block hetrostructure thermoelectric nanowire, and thermoelectric nanowire thereof

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing thermoelectric nano-wires and the thermoelectric nano-wires are provided to synthesize the thermoelectric nano-wires of a multi-blocked hetero-structure without a separate template or catalytic agent. CONSTITUTION: A Bi-thin film(50) is formed on a substrate(10) on which an oxide layer(30) is arranged through a sputtering method. The substrate with the Bi-based thin film is thermally treated to grow Bi-based mono crystalline nano-wires based on compressive stress. A cooling process is implemented such that the nano-wires reach to room temperature. Te(70) is sputtered on the Bi-based nano-wires as a thermoelectric material to obtain nano-wires of a Bi/Te-based core/sheet structure. The nano-wires are annealed to obtain thermoelectric nano-wires of a hetero-structure.
