Compact UWB antenna array for microwave imaging

In this paper, a novel compact ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna array is presented for microwave imaging. The antenna was designed to operate in the lower UWB band from 3.2–6 GHz. The antenna is characterised by its simple structure and a very low profile, making it suitable for multi-view imaging. The resulting array features very good mutual coupling between the adjacent antenna, which is below −20dB.
