Cropping sequence studies on coarse textured soils in southeastern Idaho

A study was initiated in 1969 to compare potato-grain rotations with continuous cropping to potatoes on coarse textured soils, both with and without fumigation. Results of 5 years of this study show annual cropping to potatoes did not reduce yield or quality of tubers produced when compared with the potato-grain rotations. No beneficial effects were observed from soil fumigation treatments.
