Revision of structure of rangiformic acid

On the basis of new NMR evidence, the structure of the lichen-substance, (+)-rangiformic acid, should be revised to (2S,3S)-(+)-1-methoxycarbonylheptadecane-2,3-dicarboxylic acid. Its biological activities against a range of organisms are recorded.
