Exchange bias in non-collinear spin-spiral system Co(Cr1−xCox)2O4(x=0.0–0.1)

Abstract We report structural and magnetic properties of Co ( Cr 1 − x Co x ) 2 O 4 ( x = 0.0 – 0.1 ) . The thermal hysteresis has been observed both across magnetostructural transition ( T S ) and lock-in transition ( T L ). We observe noticeable Exchange bias (EB) only below the lock-in transition, T L . The value of coercivity also shows the dramatical increase below T L . These results have been discussed in the context of incommensurate to commensurate non-collinear spin-spiral transitions across T L .
