Research progress on magnetic TiO_2 composite Nano-photocatalysts

Magnetic TiO2 composite nanophotocalalyst is a type of important photocatalytic material,which not only has the merits of environmental friendliness, low-cost and high photocatalytic activity,but also can be separated by magnet and reused rapidly. It has wide and promising application prospect in the degradation of waste water contaminants. In this review,the preparation and photocatalytic performance of the magnetic TiO2 composite nanomaterials are summarized,and the application of these nanophotocalalysts in the treatment of waste waters contaminated by dyes,pesticides,aromatic hydrocarbons and their derivatives,harmful inorganic ions,and poisonous gases is also summarized. Finally,the direction of future development of magnetic and composite TiO2 nanoparticles is proposed.
