THE TIME-VARYINM PHASOR MODEL OF THE DISTRIBUTED PARAMETER TRANSMISSION LINE AND ITS SIMULATION

2002
Traditional transient studies, which we call 搎uasi-stationary?assumption in power system analysis are limited because of occurrence of more recently faster phenomena related to electromagnetic transients which are leaded by application of power electric devices into power system. 揟ime-varying phasor?breaks through this limitation and can be used to analyze those faster phenomena. This paper brings time-varying phasor concepts into power system to model the distributed parameter transmission line to analyze its electromagnetic transients phenomena. We simulate the model and compare the results with the results of EMTP. The conclusion is drew that the time-varying phasor, as the middle models between EMTP models and 搎uasi-stationary?models, can represent elements?electromagnetic transients at a certain extent, and can be used into power system to simulate objects whose electromagnetic transients can not be ignored and which 搎uasi-stationary?assumption can not be used to analyze.
