The invention relates to an electrochemical cell for a lithium battery comprising a positive electrode comprising graphite, a negative electrode and an electrolytic solution disposed between the positive and negative electrodes, the electrolytic solution comprising at least one lithium salt and at least one solvent. According to the invention, the lithium salt is lithium oxalyldifluoroborate LiODFB and the solvent is an organic solvent. The invention also relates to a lithium battery comprising such electrochemical cell and the use of such a fuel cell or a lithium battery as in the areas of consumer devices (cell phone, digital photography , personal computers), safety or aerospace.
