Electrophilic Addition of Phenols to 1-Vinyl-4,5,6,7-tetrahydroindole.

The vinyltetrahydroindole (I) is coupled with equimolar amounts of the phenols (II) in the absence of a catalyst to give the phenoxyethyltetrahydroindoles (III).
